What it feels like

A dull ache around the kneecap that builds during a run and lingers after it. Stairs, squats and long sits in the car make it worse.

It usually comes from load, not damage: a jump in kilometres, new shoes, more hills, or hips that tire before the knee does.

What we do

We find what changed in your running, test the hips and calves, and look at how you land. Tape can calm it for a week or two while the work starts.

Then a plan you can do at home: strength for the hips and quads, a sensible return to running, and one check-in run on video.

A typical plan.
Yours is written at the first session.

Wk 01

Calm it down

Walk without limping. Tape, ice, two easy exercises.

Wk 03

Load it

Stairs, squats, the first slow jog on grass.

Wk 06

Run again

Back to 5 km. Tape only if you want it.

Wk 10

Done

Back to your 10 km. We see you once more, to check.
